Sea anemones that form symbioses with hermit crabs

I am a PhD student in Dr. Meg Daly's lab at the Ohio State University. I'm interested in sea anemone systematics and evolution, and my project focuses on sea anemones symbiotic with hermit crabs. Working with this group of anemones allows me to integrate morphological and molecular data, look at different levels of genetic differentiation, and understand the morphological and biological transformations that occurred as the symbiosis evolved. My role in the Cnidarian Tree of Life includes helping in field collections, DNA sequence of several markers and database related work.
