Philippines
CnidTol postdoc Rodriguez (OSU) and graduate student Bentlage (KU) participated in a cruise conducted by the USMN and the MNHN (Paris) to the Philippines. They collected more than 10 10-gallon drums of specimens from 150-1000 meters (primarily Anthozoa). Among these collections are rare groups for which no other molecular-grade tissues are available. Specimens from this cruise have been delayed in the Philippines, but we are hopeful that they will be made available soon.
