France participated in the Deep-water Connections: Probing the Southern Limits of Distribution of North Atlantic Deep-Sea Coral Communities, March 2009 (see http://oceanexplorer.noaa.gov/explorations/09deepseacorals/welcome.html). Sampling of deep-sea octocorals using ROV on the Bahamas Escarpment and Abaco Canyon, sponsored by NOAA's Office of Ocean Research. Additional cnidarians collected for CnidToL participants. Also preserved tissues in RNAlater for library construction (sent to Casey Dunn, Brown U.).
